Search are supporting the recruitment of a Finance Officer to join our client's Fife office on a 5 month temporary basis with hybrid working. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations across the organisation. You will assist with budgeting, reporting, ledger management and provide financial guidance to non-financial managers. You will also oversee one Finance Assistant and contribute to policy development and team leadership. If you are ready to take on a varied role with real impact, we would love to hear from you.

Pay Rate: Circa 18 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial monitoring reports
  • Produce draft accounts and support financial vetting of reports
  • Manage and control the financial ledger system, ensuring accurate income and expenditure recording
  • Provide financial advice to non-financial budget holders
  • Produce statistical and financial returns as required
  • Guide and support the Finance Assistant, ensuring compliance with financial policies
  • Support the development of financial procedures and internal controls
Skills and experience you'll ideally have
  • Experience working in an accounting environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • HNC in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Experience with accounting systems
