Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Finance Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Directors and Executive Business Manager, the Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. Main duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting and reporting: prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
- Generate and analyse financial reports, providing insights to support decision-making.
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, including tax filings, VAT, and payroll.
- Process monthly payroll, including deductions, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Address employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial systems and procedures, and identify opportunities for process efficiency and cost savings.

- Familiarity with financial software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial processing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
