A national support charity is seeking a Finance Officer to join their Finance team in Birmingham. This full-time role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial information and includes responsibilities such as producing monthly management accounts, maintaining balance sheets, and presenting financial performance to senior management. Sense has a fantasticopportunity for someone to join our Finance team as our Finance Officer. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, working flexibly between home and our office in Selly Oak, Birmingham.
Sense provides a range of support services for people with complex disabilities including residential, supported living and day services. We are commissioned by over 100 local authorities and clinical commissioning groups across the UK
The financeofficer will work as part of the Finance Team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organisations financial information through the accurate recording of financial transactions on a timely basis.
The successful candidate will be accountable for collecting payments, daily cash posting, allocation and input to computerised accounts system as well as proactively call funders early in the cash collection cycle to confirm receipt of invoices and / or identify any disputes preventing payment.
