We are working with a growing manufacturing business in Darlington seeking a Finance & Office Manager to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and office administration. This role is perfect for someone organised, meticulous, and confident, supporting both finance and office processes in a fast‑paced, expanding business.

Responsibilities
  • Process day‑to‑day financial transactions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Monitor financial data for discrepancies
  • Manage payroll administration and liaise with accountants
  • Support general office coordination
  • Collect and organise financial information to produce reports for senior management
  • Follow up on payments and maintain communication with suppliers and clients
Candidate Requirements
  • Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable using Xero; experience with Sage or similar systems is a plus
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and proactive, able to spot problems and ask the right questions
  • Strong communicator with the ability to liaise with accountants and suppliers
  • Qualified AAT or QBE, or equivalent experience
  • Flexible approach to hours part‑time 2530 hours per week (spread across Mon Fri or 3 full days if preferred)
