Job summary

Leicestershire Education Business Company (LEBC) seeks an experienced Finance Manager for a part-time role to lead our finance function and provide accurate financial management and guidance. You will work closely with the CEO, trustees and budget holders to support strategic decision-making from our Leicester base.

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Significant financial management experience.
• Experience preparing management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Payroll, pensions, treasury and cash-flow management experience.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly management accounts, including commentary and variance analysis.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Support funding application budgets and monitor funded projects.
• Monitor cash flow, reserves and overall financial performance.
• Manage day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, receivable and banking controls.
• Lead the year-end process and prepare statutory financial statements for audit.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee payroll, pensions and HMRC requirements.
• Monitor restricted and unrestricted funds and grants.
• Provide financial reports and advice to the CEO, trustees and Finance Committee.
• Maintain effective financial policies, controls and risk management arrangements.

Main Responsibilities

Working closely with the CEO, trustees and budget holders, you will:

Personal SpecificationQualifications
