Job summary

A growing business in Hertford is seeking a Finance Manager to manage their finance team and oversee budgeting. The role requires AAT qualification and proven accounts experience, preferably within an SME environment. Responsibilities include managing invoicing and payroll, cashflow, and financial submissions. The ideal candidate will be a confident user of Excel, with knowledge of Quickbooks being advantageous. This is a permanent position, 100% office-based.

Qualifications

  • Proven all-round accounts experience, preferably in an SME background.
  • Confident Excel user.
  • AAT qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Manage head office finance team.
  • Submit financial accounts.
  • Oversee budgeting and cashflow.
  • Review actual vs forecast and provide commentary.
  • Handle journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Manage invoicing and payroll.
  • Ensure VAT/HMRC returns are submitted.
