Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting for an excellent Finance Manager to join an established legal practice near Maidenhead. The role carries a £55,000 salary plus excellent benefits and is predominantly office-based with potential hybrid working after probation.

You will oversee the day-to-day finance function, working alongside an Accounts Assistant, delivering financial reporting, billing, accounting and compliance, and providing financial insight to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven finance experience within the legal sector or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of legal finance and regulatory requirements, including SRA and AML.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to advise Partners and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing, credit control, accounts payable/receivable and accurate financial records.
• Prepare management information, financial reports, journals, reconciliations and VAT returns.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, payroll and statutory payments, ensuring robust financial controls.
• Coordinate SAR audits and liaise with banks, HMRC and external auditors.
• Support compliance across SRA, AML, GDPR and KYC requirements, including professional indemnity insurance.

About the Role

CV Screen is recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to join an established legal practice based near Maidenhead. Offering a salary of £55,000 plus excellent benefits, this predominantly office-based position will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function alongside an Accounts Assistant.
