Job summary

The CFO HQ in St Albans is seeking a Finance Manager to own the transactional finance function, supervise the team, and work closely with the Head of Finance to deliver accurate financials and timely reporting.

You will manage purchase and sales ledgers, reconcile accounts, drive process improvements, and support year-end activities, with hands-on accounting using Xero and advanced Excel skills in a fast-moving IT services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior finance role with ownership of a function.
• Strong understanding of purchase/sales ledgers and reconciliations.
• Ability to produce financial reports and insights for stakeholders.
• Comfortable using Xero in a commercial environment and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the transactional finance function and support Head of Finance.
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare payment runs and assist month-end close and reporting.
• Improve financial processes and controls with the team.
• Support year-end audit preparation and documentation.
