Job summary

NHS England is recruiting a Senior Finance Manager within the Finance and Planning Directorate to support the Head of Finance across a £7bn+ specialised commissioning high-cost drugs spend area. The role covers month-end, forecasting and year-end activities within high-profile, fast-paced projects, demanding rigor, adaptability and innovation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with significant financial management experience in a large and complex organisation, ideally public sector or healthcare.
• Proactive problem solver able to work independently, identify risks and issues, develop solutions and respond to changing priorities.
• Able to learn and adapt quickly, comfortable with complex information and making sound judgments.
• Excellent communicator and business partner, able to explain complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues, build stakeholder relationships and influence across cross-functional teams.
• Collaborative team player, able to work across boundaries to deliver shared outcomes.
