Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a Finance Manager - Fixed Assets, Tech & Lease Accounting to own the accounting for fixed assets, technology costs and leases across Argos entities. You will prepare accounting packs, reconcile movements, and ensure accurate reporting.

You will oversee Oracle Projects, fixed asset registers and lease accounting (IFRS 16), provide technical guidance, support budgets, and coordinate audit evidence.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA membership.
• Demonstrable experience in fixed assets, capex, technology costs or leases, including reporting.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS 16 and PPE/intangible assets accounting.
• Experience owning balance-sheet reconciliations, audit evidence and reporting controls.
• Proven ability to lead priorities and manage delivery through a direct report or offshore partner.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting for fixed assets, technology costs and leases across Argos entities.
• Prepare and review interim and year-end accounting packs and reconciliations.
• Oversee Oracle Projects and fixed asset registers and related interfaces.
• Lead lease accounting with emphasis on IFRS 16.
• Provide technical guidance, support budgets/forecasts, coordinate audit evidence.
• Develop and manage the Financial Accountant; drive process improvements and data quality.
