Job summary

Bondsmith in the UK is seeking a Finance Manager at the finalist/newly qualified level to own month-end close, manage transactional activities, and oversee regulatory reporting within a lean team. The role offers exposure to treasury, VAT, and board packs within a regulated fintech environment.

You will work in a hybrid setup, mentored by the CFO, with opportunities to develop toward Financial Controller as the company scales and expands across regulated financial services.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a finance role with hands-on month-end ownership
• Exposure to FCA regulatory reporting, safeguarding, or client money environments a plus
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or auditing regulated clients is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and monthly reporting pack with commentary for CFO and board
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and intercompany recharges
• Oversee revenue recognition and statutory reporting including VAT
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for monthly packs
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external accountants
• Assist CFO with regulatory reporting and capital requirements
• Support treasury/cash flow forecasting and client money reconciliation
• Lead process improvements and drive automation in finance
