Our role is simple: help ambitious businesses turn their plans into reality by removing barriers and simplifying complexity. If you want to work where technology meets banking, where security comes first, and where your work directly enables business ambition, you're in the right place.

Responsible for statutory reporting across the Bank of London, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial information, robust controls, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Core responsibilities
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the Bank of London, including consolidated group results and entity-level statements
  • Prepare statutory accounts under UK IFRS and applicable regulatory frameworks, coordinating audit deliverables end-to-end
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger, oversee journals, reconciliations, and close processes across entities and currencies
  • Design, implement, and enhance the financial control environment, policies, and procedures across the Bank of London
  • Lead cash management controls, including operational cash reconciliations and payment run governance
  • Prepare regulatory returns within Finance's remit and coordinate with Regulatory Reporting for accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable timeliness, ageing reviews, and process improvements
  • Coordinate external relationships: auditors, tax advisors, and other professional services providers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on finance systems changes, including Ledger implementation and related tooling (e.g., expenses)
  • Support ad hoc analysis, business cases, and scenario modelling to inform executive decision-making
Collaboration
  • Internal Audit on control reviews and remediation actions
  • HR/People on headcount, payroll, and cost controls
  • Risk and Compliance on policy adherence and control design
  • Technology and Operations on system integrity and process automation
  • Product and Customer teams on revenue recognition and cost allocations
  • External auditors and advisors on audits and technical matters
  • Deliver audited IFRS financial statements for the Bank of London on time with clean audit outcomes
Capabilities and experience
  • Chartered accountant with strong post-qualification experience in financial control and reporting
  • Proven experience within a UK regulated environment and familiarity with FCA/PRA expectations
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, consolidations, multi-entity and multi-currency reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, design, and improve control frameworks and finance processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication, able to brief senior stakeholders and Boards succinctly
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to AI and data-driven automation within finance and reporting
  • Experience with Power BI, including building dashboards and analysing large datasets, would be advantageous
