Job summary

Alexander Faraday Limited is seeking an experienced Finance or Accounts Manager to join the team in the education sector, focusing on robust financial processes and monthly management accounts.

This is a fully site-based role in Greater London, with a DBS check and strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification preferred (Qualified or part-qualified).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is essential.
• Strong finance background with attention to detail and ability to implement financial processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with strong administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining strong financial processes and supporting the Bursar in key financial functions
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Prepare weekly supplier payment schedules, bank reconciliations, annual budget preparations, order processing, purchase orders, petty cash
• Follow up on outstanding payments / fees, insurance renewals & lease agreements
• Handle staff expenses and reimbursements

• Prepare weekly supplier payment schedules, bank reconciliations, annual budget preparations, order processing, purchase orders, petty cash
• Follow up on outstanding payments / fees, insurance renewals & lease agreements
• Handle staff expenses and reimbursements

Requirements:

• Accounting qualification preferred (Qualified or part-qualified)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is essential
• Strong finance background, preferably with an accounting qualification, and be confident in financial process implementation
• Strong financial acumen with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with strong administrative skills
