What You'll Be Doing

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead and develop a team of 5+ finance professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.
  • Own the financial operations, ensuring the large volume of tasks and queries are managed effectively, within a timely resolution, and aligned to the monthly timetable, which will be key to successful delivery
  • Partner closely with D&T Finance (London) and Finance Operations, controllership for financial activities for D&T, working collaboratively across all business areas, driving clear financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making and drive performance.
  • Manage conflicting priorities across multiple business partners, balancing strategic goals with operational needs while maintaining financial control.
  • Support transformation initiatives, ensuring financial governance and standardised processes are embedded across key projects and programmes.
  • Champion automation and process optimisation, using systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience, ideally in tech or transformation environments
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing finance teams with a focus on coaching and performance.
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills, able to influence senior business partners and navigate complexity.
  • Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and driving alignment in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.
  • Control-focused with a continuous improvement approach, and experience collaborating with outsourced providers and digital teams.
