Job description

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be working closely with a leading Scottish business in a very attractive sector in their search for a Finance Manager to join the team. This is a long term contract position covering maternity leave.

Our client is seeking a high calibre qualified (essential) accountant with at least 3 years PQE in a similar role. This role has team leadership responsibilities as well as being very hands on with budgeting, forecasting and management accounting. The role would suit an experienced Finance Manager or a Management Accountant with previous supervisory experience.

On offer is a strong salary and benefits package for an initial 12 month+ contract, including very flexible hybrid working pattern!

Our client is seeking a start prior to Christmas so we are looking for candidates able to meet this.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end financial reporting of legal entities, including financial analysis and commentary
• Complete key financial reporting tasks including bad debt provisions, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
• Manage short-term cash and working capital forecasting, reporting and commentary
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles to enable short, medium and long-term business planning
• Manage, support and guide a small team of direct reports
• Act as a trusted finance partner to Divisional operating directors and senior management
• Drive continuous improvement by developing and documenting business processes and strengthening internal controls

Previous Experience

The successful candidate will likely be a fully qualified accountant with 3 years PQE minimum. You will have excellent management accounting experience, ideally within a high volume, fast-paced business. You should be experienced in either leading or supervising a small finance team and supporting across different functions of the business.
