Job description

The UPI EMEA Finance team will play a key role supporting the EVP EMEA manage the region. The team will work with HQ functions that are based in London (Marketing and Operations), and it will work closely with the LA based finance team, as well as other corporate groups based in London and Amsterdam. UPI operates in a changing industry and it is expected that responsibilities will change and evolve to support the needs of the business. Reporting to the SVP Operations & Finance (EMEA), the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the UPI Head Office entity in London which incurs marketing, print and OH cost. In addition to management of this entity, the role will be the key contact for the EMEA op cos and LA finance team in providing in time-zone Controllership support and ensuring all UPI and Corporate controllership requirements are being met. The role will also support the SVP in EMEA in specific operational projects.

Responsibilities
  • Owning and managing all monthly and quarterly reporting activities for the Head office entity in line with compliance and accounting policies and procedures, including intercompany relationships with LA and NBCU Corporate.
  • Coordinating statutory and internal audits, including managing / reviewing annual stat-to GAAP reconciliations, tax compliance, and dealing with any queries raised by auditors in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliation procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and effectiveness of key policies (eg Purchase to pay, T&E).
  • Manage the relationship with Accenture on a day-to-day basis to ensure all outsourced activities are being performed as agreed for the Head Office entity.
  • Support the Controllership team in driving outsourced activities in EMEA.
  • Engaging with cross functional teams on value added Controllership activities.
  • Partnering with the Controllership and FP&A Teams to support financial performance; identifying risks and opportunities impacting P&L and/or cash flow.
  • Support and contribute to operational finance projects.
  • Liaison with LA Controllership team in driving financial and operational standardisation across EMEA, plus act as point of contact for EMEA opcos on close timezone.
  • Support non-finance departments by providing ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Support S4 system roll out.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Job Overview

Overseeing Balance Sheet (B/S) and Profit and Loss (P/L) of IQVIA Ltd (GB80) SAP side, which is the largest Legal Entity outside the United States, with a GBP 1 BN B/S and P/L. Reporting into the EMEA Controller, the role has many cross‑functional dotted lines to Corp Treasury and other finance functions. The position is a permanent contract, based in either Newbury, UK, or Amsterdam, with two days per week in office.
