Four Recruitment is partnering with an independent UK law firm to appoint a Finance Manager in Manchester. You’ll report to the Finance Director and own monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial models.

You’ll partner with solicitors on WIP, billing and debt recovery, develop Power BI dashboards, and use AI tools to sharpen reporting. You’ll lead on new finance system implementations and coordinate with external accountants.

Qualifikationen

• Experience at Management Accountant/Finance Manager level.
• Experience in the legal sector or professional services.
• Proven ability to implement AI tools in finance reporting.
• Experience with WIP, billing and debt recovery.

I am currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for an independent law firm which has grown significantly in the last few years with offices across the UK. Reporting to the Finance Director you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Produce monthly management accounts with commentary the leadership team can act on
• Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models
• Business-partner with solicitors about WIP, billing and debt recovery
• Develop reporting and dashboards in Power BI, and use AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to make reporting faster and sharper
• Take a leading role in implementing new finance systems and improving how we work
• Act as the day-to-day link with our external accountants

I’m looking for someone that has either worked in the legal sector before or if not professional services along with proven experience at Management Accountant/Finance Manager level who ideally has used and implemented AI tools.
