This is a genuinely varied and somewhat rare opportunity for a Finance Manager seeking a role that blends robust financial control with commercial influence, performance enhancement and senior stakeholder engagement. It offers a well-balanced mix of accounting and commercial responsibilities, giving real breadth and long‑term career potential.

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that corporate and business strategies are underpinned by strong financial control, insightful reporting and the consistent drive to maximise profitability and operational efficiency.

Although positioned within a large corporate environment, this role carries the scope and impact of a Financial Controller supporting Commercial Operations. You will gain significant exposure across the business, ensuring stakeholders understand and act upon the story behind the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Business partnering with internal stakeholders, guiding them through monthly financial performance.
• Presenting to the board and senior leadership, clearly articulating performance drivers and explaining variances to plan and forecast.
• Collaborating closely with Commercial Finance, ensuring accurate forecasting and embedding new processes and controls to support emerging business initiatives.
• Leading and developing a team of part‑ and fully‑qualified reporting accountants, shaping their performance, coaching them, and acting as a key point of contact for both finance and operational leaders.
• Acting as a change agent, supporting system improvements, driving continuous enhancement and ensuring high‑quality team outputs.

Qualifications & Experience

This role is ideally suited to an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with excellent communication skills, proven leadership experience and the confidence to present at a senior level. You will thrive in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment and bring the ability to think laterally, challenge established ways of working and operate effectively within a large corporate structure. Experience with digital tools such as Power BI would be advantageous, though not essential.
