Whatever your priorities – work / life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering – you’ll find like-minded people driving change at Howden.

The role

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Howden EMEA Divisional Finance team, supporting the transformation of finance operations and driving collaboration across the wider finance community. This role partners closely with regional finance teams across EMEA, taking ownership of reporting, planning, financial analysis and business integration activities while supporting the continued growth of the division. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Central London, with an expected onsite presence of 3 days per week on average.

What you'll be doing
  • Partner with finance teams across EMEA to deliver accurate financial reporting and meaningful performance insights.
  • Produce and review monthly management accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, three-year planning and in-year reforecast activities.
  • Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting on divisional performance, analysing key metrics and trends.
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and supporting materials.
  • Support statutory reporting requirements, annual accounts production and relevant legal filings.
  • Assist with acquisition due diligence, business integration activities and finance onboarding processes.
  • Manage cash forecasting, working capital reporting and liquidity planning activities.
  • Drive finance process improvements, systems enhancements and reporting efficiencies.
  • Support strategic finance initiatives, including internal controls enhancement, SOX readiness and governance programmes.
  • Document finance processes and procedures to promote consistency, scalability and control.
  • Lead, coach and develop junior team members while fostering collaboration across the finance community.
Who we're looking for
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Reporting, Group Finance or Financial Control role within a complex organisation.
  • Strong experience producing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience managing reporting across multiple entities, ideally within an international environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
  • Experience supporting internal controls frameworks and SOX-related activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data manipulation and pivot table reporting.
  • Experience partnering with multiple stakeholders across finance, tax, legal and operational teams.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, transformation programmes or finance change initiatives would be advantageous.
Qualifications
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum five years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience managing statutory and group reporting requirements within a large or international group structure.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills essential; an additional EMEA language is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical capability.
