Overview

Reed Finance is working exclusively with a client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Finance Manager. Our client offers remote working with only a requirement to be in the office a few times per month. Our client also offers a fantastic pension scheme and holiday entitlement at 41 days per year.

Responsibilities
  • The role is responsible for one of the entities within the group with a turnover of around £50million. This is a hands on position that is focused on accounts preparation. You will be involved heavily with the accounts prep for the entity and have one direct report. We are searching for candidates that have previously worked in a similar sized turnover business (SME background, £20million +) and that have worked in roles that have focused on accounts preparation.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Update and maintain financial models to reflect current financial data.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Prepare year-end closing entries and adjustments
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
  • Prepare comprehensive statutory financial statements
  • Engage with wider group to source information
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ICAS/ACCA)
  • SME background reporting to a group function ideal
  • Previous experience in a hands on accounts preparation role
