Job summary

Symbiotic Talent in Dundee city centre is seeking a Finance Manager for a permanent hybrid role. You will join the leadership team, shape financial planning, and drive cost control in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers autonomy with strategic oversight of budgets, VAT and tax returns, payroll management, and robust internal reporting to the board and partners. You will help the organisation reach new heights and support staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business plan including the budget, financial plan, cash flow management.
  • Establish basis for wellbeing of organisation assets/liabilities with KPIs and reporting framework.
  • Lead reporting and relationship management with external customers/partnerships.
  • Ensure timely production of annual financial statements and consolidated accounts.
  • Oversee corporation tax and VAT returns with specialist advice as needed.
  • Lead strategy documents, forecasts, annual budgets and revisions.
  • Manage outsourced payroll and ensure pension requirements are fulfilled on time.
  • Provide financial returns to external bodies in a timely manner.
  • Support development of new financial systems and controls.
  • Manage finance team responsible for GL, AP and Credit Control.

Job description

This is a permanent role which does not provide sponsorship therefore a UK passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain would be the only options to application.

The Role


  • Developing the business plan including the budget or financial plan relating primarily to the operating revenue and costs and cash flow management.

  • Establishing the basis for the organisation's wellbeing relating to the management of the assets and liabilities of the company and and monitoring processes and establishing key performance indicators and benchmarks for performance evaluation and a framework that provides the board, management and staff with an effective reporting system.

  • Lead on the reporting and relationship management with external customers and partnerships.

  • To ensure the timely production of annual financial statements for the limited company and consolidated accounts for the group.

  • To ensure accurate preparation and submission of corporation tax and VAT returns as required, taking specialist advice as necessary.

  • To lead the production of strategy documents and associated forecasts, annual budgets and forecast revisions and other forecasts or analyses of performance as required for both internal and external use.

  • To manage the outsourced payroll and ensure that all pension requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.

  • To ensure that relevant financial returns are provided to all external bodies in a timely manner.

  • Support the development of new financial systems and controls across the organisation.

  • To manage the finance team who are responsible for GL, AP and Credit Control.

  • A degree level qualification, or equivalent work experience, in a relevant discipline.
