The overall aim of the role is to work with the Finance Director and Finance Associate to maintain and improve levels of financial planning, reporting and control. This is a maternity cover role.

Responsibilities
  • Taking on the more complex client financial queries across all service lines.
  • Liaising with the Clinical and Admissions teams to ensure financial processes are seamlessly joined up with other business processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including monthly management accounts & balance sheet.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial management information & KPI Reports.
  • Preparing Shareholder returns/reports.
  • Working with the Finance Director on ad hoc commercial analysis.
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee accounts payable and payment runs.
  • Review and oversee monthly payroll process file as prepared by the HR team and processed by the payroll bureau.
  • Overseeing the VAT return (as prepared by the Finance Associate).
  • Planning and carrying out testing of new systems (e.g. Xero changes/Orri Hub and new finance systems at the appropriate point).
  • Ensure robust financial governance structures are in place to support compliance with financial regulations and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure financial risks are identified and managed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the finance team.
  • Oversee the year end process and the preparation of year end accounts.
  • Overseeing the annual financial audit and tax computation.
