Job description

A rapidly growing business in Luton, which has tripled its turnover in the last 2 years, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Luton.

Due to ongoing expansion, we offer an opportunity for a Finance Manager to become part of a dynamic team on a permanent basis. Working alongside the Operations and Finance Directors, the ideal candidate will have relevant finance experience and line management responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Manager to support and realize the company's exponential growth plans. This role will manage two accounts assistants and report directly to the FD.

The role is varied and fast-paced. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Preparation of month-end management accounts
  2. Monthly management accounts pack (P&L & Balance Sheet)
  3. Reviews with FD, Operations, and SLT
  4. Intercompany sales and recharges within the group
  5. Banking and treasury management
  6. Weekly payment runs
  7. Line management and team development
  8. Bookkeeping for investment companies
  9. Annual budget preparation with FD support
  10. Improving data and processes in financial systems
  11. Daily and weekly occupancy reporting
  12. Managing onboarding, standing orders, and bank statements
  13. Collaborative process improvements with SLT
  14. Supporting the FD with scale-up growth projects

Qualifications and skills we are looking for:

  1. Minimum 3 years of financial experience
  2. Self-sufficient Management Accountant with line management responsibilities
  3. Proven success in a financial setting
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Managerial or team leadership experience is desirable
  6. Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  7. Metrics-driven finance mindset with a focus on creativity and efficiency
  8. Experience with automation (desirable)
  9. AAT, Bachelor's degree, or QBE finance qualification (preferred)
