Day-to-day of the role:
  • Transaction Management:Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments, including BACS and petty cash.
  • Financial Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using school software; assist with maintaining accounting records.
  • Reporting:Assist in the preparation of financial plans, reports, and statutory returns; provide timely and accurate financial information to management.
  • Payroll and Pensions:Administer and process payroll and pension schemes, including making payroll adjustments and verifying reports.
  • Income and Payments:Collect and bank all money received, including parental contributions for trips and meals.
  • Auditing and Compliance:Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Budget Assistance:Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
