Job description

Engage Talent Partners are working with our client to source and recruit a Finance Manager.

Our client operates in the oil and gas, nuclear and renewables sectors and you would be joining them during a very exciting time as their business experiences huge growth both in the UK and internationally.

This role will form part of the senior management team, report to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business including budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance and supporting growth.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with manufacturing and service operations.
  • Monitor and analyse product costs, margins, and overheads for manufacturing activities.
  • Track and report service revenue performance, utilization rates, and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly/quarterly reports, and support year-end audits.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and funding needs to ensure business sustainability.
  • Implement internal controls and compliance with local financial regulations.
  • Partner with operations and service teams to improve pricing, cost efficiency, and profitability.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure and investment opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field as well as relevant professional qualifications (E.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and experience in a similar role within an SME business. It would be beneficial if you had a good level of understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and service revenue models. In addition, you will have excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills and be a strong communicator.
