Neway International are seeking a Finance Management Systems Accountant (SO1 & POA) to join our client based with the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Start Date: 08 December 2025
End Date: 09 March 2026
Duration: 12 Weeks
Hours: 36 per week (09:00 – 17:00)
Pay Rates: PAYE: £358.91 per day
Limited/Umbrella: £500.00 per day

Job Description

The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a Finance Management Systems Accountant (SO1 & POA) to join the Finance directorate. This temporary role will provide business-as-usual (BAU) support while recruitment is in progress, ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Oracle system support (excluding EPM), with a focus on General Ledger (GL) and hierarchy management.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Projects modules where required.
  • Ensure financial codes are set up and maintained accurately.
  • Respond promptly to system queries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Carry out routine systems tasks, including month-end checks and reconciliations.
  • Support quarterly testing and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
  • Utilise advanced Excel skills to manage and analyse financial data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Strong Oracle support experience (GL and hierarchy knowledge essential).
  • Experience with AP/AR or Projects modules desirable.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage routine systems tasks effectively.
  • Experience supporting month-end and quarterly testing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a finance team.
