Job summary

SSE plc is launching its Finance Graduate Programme in Glasgow or Perth. You’ll join a three-year rotation across major finance disciplines, studying toward ICAS Chartered Accountant while gaining practical experience. Earn a base salary of £30,200 with benefits, and enjoy Flexible First options.

Start date is September 2027. You will develop core finance expertise, contribute to investment decisions and risk management, and progress into a permanent SSE finance role after successful completion

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline. A finance degree isn’t required.
• Graduates should be curious, analytical and eager to learn with a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication and collaborative ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Rotations across a range of finance teams including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Internal Audit, Treasury, Corporate Finance and Commercial Finance & Business Partnering.
• Study towards ICAS Chartered Accountant while gaining hands‑on experience across SSE.
• Support decision‑making and contribute to SSE’s growth plans and the UK energy transition.
