Job summary

Sarafin Partners, a successful international professional services organisation, is recruiting a Finance Executive to join its London-based finance team. This role is ideal for someone with around 2–3 years’ finance/accounts experience who seeks a broader remit within an international business.

You’ll handle transactional finance tasks, work with multi-currency transactions across £, € and $, and support the Finance Manager while liaising with colleagues across countries.

Job description

We are working with a successful international professional services organisation to recruit a Finance Executive to join their London-based finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 2–3 years’ finance/accounts experience who has built a good grounding in transactional finance and is now looking for a broader role within an international business.

You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative finance team and working closely with the Finance Manager, while also having exposure to colleagues and senior stakeholders across the wider organisation internationally.

The opportunity

• It’s a varied position covering a mix of accounts receivable, credit control, transactional finance and general finance support. Responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and processing sales invoices
• Maintaining and updating the sales ledger
• Credit control and chasing outstanding debt
• Supporting accounts payable when required
• Carrying out reconciliations
• Posting expenses and petty cash transactions
• Reviewing, analysing and posting monthly credit card expenditure
• Maintaining finance spreadsheets and records
• Working with multi-currency transactions across £, € and $
• Responding to finance queries from across the organisation
• Providing wider administrative support to the finance team
• The business uses NetSuite, so previous experience would be useful, although it isn’t essential.

About you

You’ll ideally have 2–3 years’ experience within a finance or accounts team and be comfortable working across a range of transactional finance activities.

You’ll have a good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting processes, strong reconciliation skills and confidence working with numbers and spreadsheets.

An AAT qualification, or progress towards one, would be advantageous, although relevant practical experience is equally important.

Just as importantly, you’ll be organised, approachable and comfortable communicating with people at different levels. This is a busy international environment, so you’ll need to be able to manage competing priorities, pick things up quickly and enjoy being part of a collaborative team.
