A dynamic and fast-paced organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support its financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately process and post invoices, ensuring correct coding to cost centres and accounts.

Prepare and execute supplier payment runs in line with agreed terms and cash flow requirements.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for operational and event-related activities.

Support payroll data preparation and monitor key financial movements.

Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting.

Respond to customer billing and payment inquiries.

Maintain accurate supplier records and manage invoice approvals.

Contribute to year-end audit preparations by providing documentation and schedules.

Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.

Person Specification
Education & Experience

Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (essential).

23 years experience in a similar finance role, in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and month-end processes (essential).

Knowledge of UK Tax law.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential).

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelling (desirable).

Experience with accounting software such as Xero or Sage (desirable).

Proactive approach to learning and development (desirable).
