Job summary

Boxbar Tech, Wakefield-based, seeks a Finance Director to own financial leadership and guide ambitious growth. You will partner with the CEO, Advisory Board and Senior Leadership to deliver performance insights, funding strategies and risk management for international expansion.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management of cash, budgeting, governance and finance operations, including investor engagement and systems development to scale the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional accountant with senior finance leadership in SME/scale-up.
• Experience enabling capital raises and investor processes.
• Strong cash flow management and financial modelling capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with CEO, boards and non-finance leaders.
• Experience building and leading a finance team, improving systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate growth strategy into budgets, forecasts and long-term plans with clear assumptions.
• Improve margins through pricing, cost control and commercial decision support.
• Own cash forecasting, liquidity planning and funding requirements.
• Lead reporting, governance, and KPI dashboards with variance analysis.
• Coordinate international tax matters and multi-country financial controls.
• Develop and mentor the finance team and enhance systems and processes.
