Overview

Finance Director — £80k-£100k depending on experience + excellent benefits. Based in Sheffield. Exciting high growth manufacturing/engineering company.

Our client based in Sheffield is seeking a talented Qualified Finance Director to join them due to an extended period of growth. Reporting to the MD of the business as Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the business. As you grow the finance function you will provide valuable insights, strategic financial guidance, and drive effective decision‑making processes.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all operational finance matters
  • Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of consolidated annual accounts
  • Preparation of UK statutory accounts
  • Liaise with external UK auditors and bank
  • Manage cash and prepare cash flow forecasts
  • Identify commercial problems of divisions and make recommendations
  • Promote cost reduction and improvement activities
  • Review, improve and secure system, procedures and controls
  • Manage, restructure, develop and improve quality of the finance team of 6 staff
  • Member of Executive Directors team attending weekly meetings
  • Manage HR/IT/Purchasing departments
Prior Experience and Qualifications
  • Ideally fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA or ACA)
  • Great communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders
  • Previous experience in managing a small finance team
  • Knowledge of SAGE would be advantageous
  • An advanced user of Microsoft Excel

This role is ideally suited to a candidate who already possesses a Finance Director role. You will enjoy a broad brush responsibility and enjoy identifying opportunities to create efficiencies and process improvements.
