Job summary

You will lead the finance function, shaping strategy to deliver stronger revenues and growth, with oversight of budgeting, cashflow, statutory reporting, and KPI presentation. Experience in D2C retail, e-commerce and concessions is essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Finance Director with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in omni-channel consumer retail including D2C, e-commerce and concessions.
• Exceptional commercial acumen and business knowledge.
• Proven track record of sustainable revenue and profit growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear strategy with the Executive team to drive growth.
• Create a finance strategy and vision to motivate performance and sustainable value.
• Improve communication within the Finance team and the wider business.
• Build working capital and cashflow forecasting models with robust controls.
• Oversee month end reporting, management accounts, cash flow and statutory accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning with insightful performance analysis.
• Coordinate corporate finance, debt, tax and equity during growth periods.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and tax planning.

Job description

New career opportunity for a high calibre, commercially switched-on Finance Director to become part of the Executive team with a well established retail business based in London (full time office based)

THE ROLE

The role will form part of the senior leadership team to develop the business to deliver stronger revenues and growth.

• Work with the Executive team to ensure a clear strategy is in place that provides a firm foundation for growth
• Create a finance strategy and vision that will create synergy, motivate performance, inspire teams and create sustainable value.
• Increase communication within the Finance team and the wider business.
• Build working capital and cashflow forecasting models and maintain robust control and visibility over cash, working capital and future funding requirements.
• Control all financial and accountancy matters including month end reporting, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts, compliance, presentation of management information and KPIs.
• Invest in establishing good, scalable processes across the finance function.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and planning process, with appropriate insight into performance.
• Support the business through change and growth periods, coordinating corporate finance, debt, taxation and equity as appropriate.
• Ensure the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

The successful candidate profile:

• Fully Qualified Finance Director ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Demonstrable success in an omni-channel consumer business, including direct-to-consumer retail, e-commerce and concessions. Experience of a fashion, apparel or consumer retail environment is essential
• Exceptional commercial acumen and business knowledge.
• A proven track record of leading sustainable organic revenue and profit growth in relevant markets
