Finance Director | PE-Backed | Property & Insurance

Overview

Cedar are proud to be partnering with a mid market PE fund in their search for a hands on Finance Director to guide the financial direction of one of their portfolio businesses with activity across the property and insurance space. The focus early on will be to build a solid controls framework, raise the standard of existing processes, and steady the finance function as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance function and oversee day to day financial operations.
  • Build and implement a clear controls framework.
  • Review and improve current processes across reporting, systems and cash management.
  • Provide accurate reporting to the board, investors, and senior management.
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, lenders, and auditors.
  • Coach and develop finance team members.
Requirements
  • Experience within Insurance is a must
  • Candidates familiar with PE/VC backed environment are ideal.
  • Comfortable working in a hands on, detail driven role.
  • Experience improving controls, processes, and reporting quality.
  • Knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks is an advantage.
