Job summary

Citi London is seeking a Data Governance Foundation senior professional to define and drive the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy and Data Risk framework. You will align regional roadmaps, advise on prioritization, and coordinate with senior leaders and regulators.

The role requires deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory expectations for large financial institutions. Hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Governance/ Data Management or related area.
• Banking, Financial Services experience and Regulatory knowledge required.

• Analyze and resolve overlapping initiatives to avoid duplication of effort.
• Partner with ECDO Heads to develop capability maturity framework.
• Develop materials to articulate progress on data governance to senior leadership.
• Liaise with metrics team to define objective measures for Data Governance.

The Data Governance Foundation Principal is a senior level role responsible for defining the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and ControlFramework and Data Risk Taxonomy. This role is responsible for design and implement a well-controlled data governance processes to enablebusinesses/function/regional adoption of data governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Controls framework.

The role will articulate the enterprise data governance strategy, and progress towards target state, through various channels and forums, for a wide variety ofstakeholders, including senior leadership and regulators.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with functions, lines of business and regional Federated Chief Data Office to understand and align Data Governance and/or DataRisk and Controls strategy related work

• Develop approach and prioritization framework to define and track the prioritized scope for the enterprise data program

Recommended Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area

• Banking, Financial Services experience and Regulatory knowledge required

• Strong Data Governance, Data Sources, Data Insights knowledge

• Project and Change Management experience (involving Data)

• Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, or working on large, strategic cross-functionalprojects

• Demonstrates leadership in operational management

• Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments andenhance risk management.

• Experience leveraging glossary, lineage, and data quality tools to drive governance

• Clearly demonstrates impactful communication, influencing and facilitation skills (oral, written and presentation)

• Demonstrates ability to balance between seeing the big picture while paying close attention to detail

• General understanding of relevant banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large financial institutions strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

This role will act as the conduit between the Finance Data organization and the International Business, supporting data consumers to identify new requirements, analyze potential data quality issues, develop solutions and support remediation through to implementation and validation.

Role will support the International business in all aspects of achieving Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) compliance for data governed by Finance Data Domains.

Ability to query data using SQL, analyze with tools such as Excel and Python, and present key messages to senior management is critical to be successful in this role. Additional critical skills/knowledge:

• Wide knowledge base of Financial Products (Derivatives, Securities, Credit Cards, etc…)
• Understanding of differences in regulatory reporting between US and non-US reports
• Ability to, and experience with, working across a global organization to deliver on mandated reporting requirements
