Job summary

Engelhart is seeking a Data Engineer in its London office to build and operate data pipelines connecting the data warehouse and CTRM platform with brokers, FCMs, and finance systems. You will automate Finance workflows with robust reconciliations, ingest external feeds (CSV/XML/SFTP), and implement strong data controls.

You will develop serverless ETL on AWS using IaC/CI-CD, apply Python-based processing, and collaborate with Finance and Technology stakeholders to evolve data flows.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience with testing practices.
• Hands-on AWS serverless ETL pipelines using Lambda and related services.
• Proficient SQL for transforming, validating and reconciling data.
• Experience with data ingestion from external files (CSV/XML/SFTP).
• Finance domain knowledge and data governance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate and maintain data pipelines between data warehouse, CTRM platform, brokers, and FCMs.
• Integrate data from the Finance stack (P&L, GL, AP/AR) and bank statements.
• Automate manual Finance processes with reliable, monitored jobs.
• Implement reconciliations and data controls; produce exception reports.
• Ingest external files/feeds via SFTP and common formats (CSV/XML).
• Investigate data and reconciliation issues; explain P&L or cash breaks to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain serverless ETL on AWS with IaC and CI/CD.
• Work with Finance/Tech stakeholders to improve workflows and controls.
