Job description
About Us

We are a leading Education and Care provider with a highly therapeutic approach to supporting children and young people. Our mission is to create environments where individuals can thrive, and data plays a critical role in helping us achieve this.

The Role

We are looking for a Finance Data Analyst who can transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. This is not just about crunching numbers—it’s about understanding the story behind the data and helping us make informed decisions that impact lives.

Benefits

We also offer a 9 day fortnight, this is an amazing benefit where you only work 9 days out of 10 (in other words, you get every other Friday off!). The role is also hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office and the rest of the week from home.

Aims of the Post

The role of the Finance Data Analyst is to be responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to a portfolio of services, in a way that is meaningful and engaging for service managers from a non-financial background and working with them to drive improvement.

Main Purpose of the Job
  • Support the FP&A Manager with group-level reporting and the management of external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of divisional forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the month-end financial reporting process, including the timely and accurate production of departmental and consolidated management accounts.
  • Analyse monthly and year-to-date departmental results to identify performance trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate operational costs and overheads to understand key cost drivers and support cost control initiatives.
  • Promote financial awareness and accountability across Operational teams through regular engagement and insight sharing.
  • Support the development and evaluation of group-wide cost improvement programmes.
  • Enhance the quality and relevance of financial reporting by tailoring outputs to end-user needs and highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for decision-making.
  • Analyse current and historical financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, projections, and dashboards, leveraging tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Excel for data analysis and visualization.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of collection and reporting methods, to efficiently deliver information products to drive service improvements.
  • Maintenance of mailboxes and other correspondence as required.
Recruitment Process

Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check, and online and social media checks, and reference validation.
