Job description

Finance/Credit Control Assistant, Birmingham

We are currently recruiting for a Finance/Credit Control Assistant to join our Finance team on a permanent basis in Birmingham, UK.

About the role and team

The successful candidate will ensure the Practice’s accounting and financial systems are followed for the pursuit and payment of bills.

  1. Maintain regular contact with clients to manage debts, evaluate credit status, identify risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
  2. Negotiate payment terms and plans with clients in accordance with firm policies.
  3. Handle queries from clients and staff, providing prompt responses and follow-ups.
  4. Collaborate with lawyers on debt repayment terms.
  5. Manage credit control email inbox, process payments, handle daily bank payments, and distribute reports.
  6. Provide induction training on Credit Control policies and regulations.
  7. Perform any other duties as required.
