This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin and develop a long-term career within finance and accounts.

Previous finance experience is not essential. Our client is much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

You may be a school or college leaver looking for your first career opportunity, or perhaps already working in an administration or customer service role and looking to move into finance.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced Finance team, you will receive training and gain exposure across a variety of finance and accounts activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • - Processing, coding and posting purchase invoices
  • - Allocating costs accurately to the general ledger
  • - Investigating invoice queries and discrepancies
  • - Processing supplier payments
  • - Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • - Bank reconciliations
  • - Managing payments into accounts receivable ledgers
  • - Answering incoming telephone calls
  • - Managing shared mailbox activity and correspondence
  • - General finance and administrative duties

As your knowledge and experience develop, you will also have the opportunity to become involved in month-end processes, management and compliance reporting, KPI reporting and wider Finance projects.

What We're Looking For
  • - Accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • - Confident communicating with colleagues and suppliers
  • - Proactive and willing to investigate and resolve problems
  • - Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • - Organised and reliable
  • - A positive team player
  • - Keen to learn and develop a career within finance
Training & Career Development

This isn't simply an administration role - there is a genuine opportunity to build a career in finance.

You will be supported by an experienced team while developing your knowledge across different areas of accounts and gaining exposure to month-end processes.

For the right person, the company is also happy to support further professional development, including AAT study support and potentially further qualifications such as ACCA as your career progresses.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity if you want an employer who is prepared to train you, invest in you and give you the opportunity to progress.

If you're bright, motivated, good with detail and serious about developing a career within finance, we'd love to hear from you.
