Ipsum Utilities Limited in Chorley/Warrington is seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the Power Division. You will work with operational teams to maintain financial controls and produce insightful financial data for performance, forecasting and investment decisions.

You’ll own the balance sheet, deliver monthly P&L reporting, and partner with teams to develop forecasts, budgets and plans while coordinating with auditors and payroll processes in a fast-paced commercial

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant with a strong desire to progress.
• Experience in an accounting role with strong Excel and systems skills.
• Ability to work at pace under pressure and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the full balance sheet, including debtor and creditor management, tax control accounts, and all reconciliations.
• Take responsibility for the completion of the monthly P&L and the delivery of accurate P&L reporting.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to develop forecasts, budgets, and financial plans.
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Work with finance and commercial processing teams to ensure control compliance.
• Review and oversee the payroll process ahead of Finance Business Partner sign-off.
• Prepare and manage cashflow and working capital information for review.
• Ensure best-practice financial controls are adhered to and continuously improved.
