Job description
Financial Business Partner (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Financial Business Partner to join our Finance team in Ashford on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role at IC24, helping us strengthen our financial insight and support decision-making across our healthcare services. You’ll work closely with managers and clinicians to help them understand their financial position, plan effectively, and deliver value for money - all while ensuring resources are used in ways that make the biggest difference for our patients and communities.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a pivotal part in producing high-quality financial reporting, shaping budgets, and influencing a culture of financial accountability. It’s a great chance to use your expertise to make an impact while developing your business partnering skills in a purpose-driven social enterprise.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and insightful financial analysis.
  • Partnering with managers and clinicians to strengthen financial decision‑making.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and annual financial planning for your designated areas.
  • Supporting operational teams to develop cost improvement and efficiency plans.
  • Coaching managers to improve financial literacy and commercial understanding.
  • Providing financial insights that influence strategy, performance, and service improvement.
  • Collaborating across the Finance team to enhance systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Assisting the Deputy CFO with ad‑hoc projects, costings, and policy development.
About You

You’re a confident communicator and natural collaborator who can make complex financial information clear and actionable. You enjoy working across diverse teams and helping others use financial data to drive meaningful outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experienced in management accounting or business partnering, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and comfortable with financial systems.
  • Analytical, proactive, and able to work independently while building strong relationships.
  • A clear and engaging communicator, both in writing and in conversation.
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in healthcare, not‑for‑profit, or social enterprise environments is desirable, but curiosity, initiative, and a people‑focused approach are what matter most.
Why IC24?

We’re a major not‑for‑profit Social Enterprise delivering high‑quality healthcare services across the South and East of England. Every penny we make is reinvested into our people, our services, and our communities.

At IC24, you’ll find:

  • A welcoming and inclusive culture where collaboration and development are encouraged.
  • The chance to shape how finance supports and partners with frontline services.
  • A leadership team that believes finance can be dynamic, engaging, and impactful.
  • Work that truly contributes to better healthcare and community outcomes.
Additional Information
  • Contract: 12-month fixed‑term contract
  • Location: Ashford (hybrid working – minimum two office days per week, including Mondays)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £60,466 - £63,860 per annum
  • Benefits include:
  • Additional annual leave above the statutory minimum based on service
  • Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme
  • Free 24/7 independent counselling service
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Access to Blue Light Card and NHS Discount Schemes
  • Membership to our reward and discount platform
