Finance Business Partner - FP&A Team

Location: Central London (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)
About the Role

My client in the Financial services industry are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial insights and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.

You'll partner with senior stakeholders, deliver high‑quality reporting and analysis, and contribute to FP&A initiatives such as financial modelling, upgrading reporting processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Our FP&A team works closely with departments to analyse performance and provide insights that inform decisions at the highest level – including senior executives, the Board, and investors.

Responsibilities
  • Support assigned departments to understand their cost base and provide actionable insights
  • Deliver month‑end, quarter‑end, forecasting, and budgeting requirements
  • Maintain accurate financials to reflect true business performance
  • Assist with FP&A initiatives, including driver‑based analysis and headcount tracking
  • Collaborate with Group FP&A on business performance discussions
  • Prepare high‑level reports and present findings to senior committees
  • Investigate complex problems and assess risks for major business changes
  • Promote accountability and continuous improvement across finance processes
  • Handle ad hoc projects as directed by senior finance leadership
Key Skills
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Strong background in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, and financial modelling
  • Skilled in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and commentary preparation
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and lead initiatives
  • Knowledge of insurance market processes (desirable)
  • Experience partnering with IT or technology functions (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with OneStream, Unit4, or similar financial systems (advantageous)
