Job summary

Weaver Vale Housing Trust is seeking a proactive finance professional to join the finance team in a permanent role based at Gadbrook Point, Northwich. This 37-hour role will partner with Development and Lettings, delivering budgets, forecasts and insightful management accounts to support informed decision-making.

You will lead on treasury reporting, covenants and regulatory returns, contribute to year-end processes and drive improvements across finance systems and processes while building strong

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified in accounting with relevant finance experience.
• Minimum four years in finance roles.
• Strong IT and financial systems proficiency.
• Experience partnering with non-finance teams to deliver targets.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to simplify complex finance information for non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and strategic financial support to Developments and Lettings.
• Lead budgets, forecasting and financial reporting for departments.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury reporting, covenants, and regulatory returns.
• Support month-end and year-end processes and deliver on timescales.
• Collaborate with budget holders to analyse variances and drive value for money.
• Assist in financial statements, audits, and finance systems development.
• Provide constructive financial advice and insights to strengthen governance.
