Overview

Our team is responsible for supporting the Business Bank Commercial team in analysing and navigating financial performance. As a fully commercial role, it provides an excellent opportunity to drive forward decision making to improve customer and commercial outcomes. The team also has close working relationships with other areas of Finance including Treasury to help ensure funding consequences are fully evaluated at an entity level as well as Financial Control to ensure adherence to accounting standards.

What you'll be doing
  • Using your financial experience and acumen to analyse monthly results, understand drivers, challenge business performance, and assist with the planning and forecasting processes to help inform the strategic business plans as well as regulatory stress testing requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of relevant papers and creating analysis to support the Head of Business Bank Finance Business Partners in presenting to the Bank LT, Board, and regulators.
  • Supporting the Commercial Team in providing financial analysis to inform decision making including product pricing and profitability assessments as well as navigating alignment with key business metrics.
  • Being responsible for maintaining simple and straightforward processes to drive an efficient and flexible function which can react quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Ensuring the controls within the Business Bank Finance Business Partnering team remain effective and consistent.
  • Building strong and effective working relationships with colleagues in the Commercial Division and other areas of Finance including Financial Control, Financial Planning and Analysis and Treasury.
Qualifications
