Job summary

Greencore is seeking a senior procurement finance professional for Leeds or Spalding. You will lead procurement analysts, own the internal control environment, and provide decision support to the SLT and Controllers to ensure optimal decisions based on solid data.

You will drive robust budgeting and forecasting processes, contribute to finance team improvements, and work flexibly to meet deadlines. ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified candidates with retail/manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA post-qualification experience in Retail, Manufacturing or FMCG.
• Experience providing operational decision support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Procurement analysts, ensuring engagement and development.
• Own internal control environment and address identified risks, ensuring balance sheet integrity.
• Serve as a key member of the procurement team, providing decision support to SLT and Controllers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide leadership and direction to ensure that the Procurement analysts are engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their full potential
• Take ownership of the internal control environment to ensure that identified risks (eg internal/external audit) are addressed. Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet through monthly detailed reviews and maintaining a detailed knowledge of balance sheet items including risks and opportunities
• To be a key member of the procurement team providing visible leadership and contributing to the running of the department. Provide decision support to the SLT and Controllers to ensure optimal decisions are made with factual information.
• Optimise procurement financial performance. Lead the process for a robust budget/forecasting process including communication within the procurement leadership team and to BULT stakeholders.
• Contribute to the wider finance team to ensure continuous improvement in controls, efficiency and ways of working.

What We’re Looking For

• (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) post qualification experience gained within Retail, Manufacturing or FMCG
• Experience of operational decision support
• Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate to all levels of the business
• Ability to build, lead and develop a high performing team
• Proactive, organised and able to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver results
