About the Role

Finance Business Partner Full-Time, Permanent Bamber Bridge, Preston - Hybrid working

The Role:

Are you ready to make a strategic impact in the energy services sector? We are seeking a dynamic Finance Business Partner to support our Well Testing and Bubble Curtain product lines. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to drive financial performance, ensure robust reporting and controls compliance, and contribute to business planning, forecasting, and risk management.

As a trusted advisor to stakeholders, you'll deliver insightful management information, monitor operational performance, and identify opportunities for improvement, helping shape the future of two innovative product lines within our Energy Services division.

What you'll be doing:
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with the 4-day close process.
  • Provide prompt management reporting to operational stakeholders.
  • Recognise revenue in line with completed operational activities.
  • Deliver mid-month flash reports, risks & opportunities analysis, and project margin insights.
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting for Well Testing and Bubble Curtain service lines.
  • Support tender processes through cost input and financial model reviews.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, project controls, and supply chain to enhance efficiency and identify improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (e.g., project margin, utilisation) to drive profitability.
  • Train and support team members to ensure effective performance.
  • Contribute to ERP system (IFS) improvements and efficiency initiatives.
What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills beyond finance.
  • Proficient in MS Office with excellent administrative capabilities.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and numerically skilled with solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven with strong planning and delivery focus.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, approachable, and adaptable.

Desirable:

  • Experience using IFS (ERP system).
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or lean methodologies.
