Are you a commercially minded, Accountant looking for a strategic finance role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact organisation and provide critical financial leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.

About the role

This is a pivotal role delivering end-to-end financial management to key directorates. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to drive financial performance, ensure governance and compliance, and deliver data-driven insight to support strategic goals. You will also play a central role in financial planning, business case development and organisational change initiatives.

This is an initial role for a period of 6 months, however, the organisation is renowned for providing contract staff with the opportunity to secure permanent contracts. If you are interested in gaining a foot within the public sector, this could be an excellent opportunity to do so.

About you
  • Qualified Accountant (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
  • Strong background in management accounting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills
  • Confident communicator with experience advising senior stakeholders
  • Public sector finance experience is a plus
