Job Overview

Finance Business Partner – An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team on a full‑time basis. The finance team has recently been restructured, and this is therefore an exciting time to join a progressive and dynamic team. The role reports directly to the Head of Financial Management and will support a designated NSFT operational Locality team within the Trust, playing a key supporting role with the Senior Operational Leadership team.

Required qualifications: CCAB, CIMA or overseas equivalent accountancy qualification. The formal base may be either Ipswich or Norwich on appointment, and it will be possible to work part of the time from home. NSFT supports flexible working and will consider part‑time and flexible working requests in filling this role. Secondments from other NHS organisations are warmly welcomed.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide a comprehensive financial business partnering service to designated localities, offering a full range of support, benchmarking and advice to locality leadership, lead clinicians and other senior managers.
  • Create an integral part of the locality leadership team to discuss and rectify areas of concern (financial and non‑financial). Recommend new ways of working beyond the financial capacity, acting as a business partner and advisor.
  • Lead other team members in producing accurate and timely budget and forecasting information.
  • Develop relationships with relevant commissioning groups and provide support and advice at commissioning meetings.
