Job description

Lloyd's is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress. Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd's market - while continuing to build a Lloyd's we are proud of. How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome - working together across our global network to turn insight into impact. We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to support our Market Performance, Market Oversight and Commercial teams. You'll turn financial and operational information into clear insight, helping senior leaders make confident decisions about priorities, resources and performance. This is an opportunity to shape decisions at the heart of the Lloyd's market. You'll provide constructive challenge, bring clarity to difficult choices and help us focus investment where it creates the greatest value.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead planning, forecasting and performance management across Market Performance, Market Oversight and Commercial.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and contribute to strategic and operational decisions from an early stage.
  • Translate business priorities, workforce plans and resource choices into clear financial forecasts.
  • Identify financial risks, opportunities and trade-offs, then explain what they mean for the business.
  • Provide a clear view of operating costs and workforce performance, including emerging pressures and required action.
  • Use evidence and commercial judgement to challenge constructively and strengthen accountability.
  • Help teams manage cost pressures while maintaining progress against their priorities.
  • Produce concise analysis and commentary for senior forums, setting out choices, implications and recommended actions.
  • Connect insight across Finance and the wider organisation, supporting the continued development of FP&A.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and reliable reporting, while working within Lloyd's risk and governance framework.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in senior finance business partnering, FP&A or performance management within a complex organisation.
  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting and planning in a business-facing or commercially focused environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to turn complex data into focused insight, practical choices and clear action.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions through evidence and sound judgement.
  • Knowledge of cost management and workforce planning, including FTE and vacancy oversight.
  • A clear understanding of financial controls, governance and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting concise analysis to senior audiences.
  • A recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.

We make things happen by turning our commitment into action. Through employee networks, mentoring, volunteering opportunities and sustained investment in professional development, we create an environment where inclusion is experienced day-to-day - not just talked about.

We own the outcome by focusing on impact.
