A financial services company based in London is seeking a qualified accountant to provide detailed financial analysis and support operational performance. The role involves producing management accounts, leading budgeting cycles, and preparing insightful reports for decision-making. Candidates should have post-qualified experience in management reporting and strong technical accounting skills. Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
Working closely with budget holders and the senior leadership team, you’ll provide detailed reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support operational performance and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing monthly management accounts and insightful variance analysis for assigned business areas
Partnering with departmental leads to review spend, challenge assumptions, and support performance improvement
Preparing reports and dashboards that combine both financial and non-financial data for executive decision-making
Leading on budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities
Supporting bids, tenders, and business cases by providing financial input and modelling
Contributing to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including systems enhancements and streamlining procedures
Acting as a trusted advisor to non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand the financial impact of their decisions
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualified experience in management reporting and business partnering. You’ll bring a mix of technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in producing management accounts and financial reports to tight deadlines
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing through data-driven insight
Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with integrated finance systems
Naturally collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented
Experience in the housing, charity, or wider not-for-profit sector would be advantageous, though not essential.
