The Inventory Accountant will oversee inventory accounting and reporting across the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with financial and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate recording, valuation, and reconciliation of inventory balances across all locations.
  • Work closely with the Stock Control team to ensure all inventory processes are robust and audit-ready.
  • Maintain effective controls over inventory movements, adjustments, and provisions.
  • Support product costing and profitability analysis to provide accurate financial insights.
  • Develop clear and insightful inventory reporting to support Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Lead inventory forecasting, partnering with Commercial Finance to align inventory projections with financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Finance teams to ensure alignment on inventory strategy and objectives.

Candidates must have strong experience and knowledge of working with stock and inventory.

You will work closely with an approachable and high-calibre Group Financial Controller, while business partnering across multiple functions including Finance, Supply Chain, Distribution and Logistics.

This is a key role with responsibility for overseeing inventory accounting and reporting across the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with wider financial and operational objectives.

The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for overseeing inventory accounting and reporting across the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with financial and operational objectives.

The role requires strong expertise in retail inventory management, with an ability to operate independently and solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
